Full Stack React/Springboot Engineer
(Remote)
Progressive Technology Federal Systems, Inc. (PTFS) has been a leading enterprise Content Services Platform (eCSP) to Federal, Civilian and DoD agencies, has an opening for a Full Stack Java Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using Spring Boot, and React.
- Develop scalable REST APIs, Java microservices, and Single Page Applications.
- Design and integrate enterprise search capabilities using SolrCloud.
- Troubleshoot and optimize multi-tier applications across Java, JavaScript, Linux, web, and search platforms.
- Develop automated unit, integration, functional, security, and performance tests.
- Participate in CI/CD, DevSecOps, production support, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain clear technical and operational documentation.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of U.S. work experience in full-stack software engineering, developing enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong frontend development experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience developing and supporting distributed, multi-tier applications on Linux.
- Strong troubleshooting, application profiling, and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience with GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with TDD/BDD, automated testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban teams.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
- Public Trust eligibility; active clearance preferred.
Preferredqualifications (Not required):
- Apache Solr, Lucene, or Elasticsearch
- Docker, and containerized microservices
- Cypress, JMeter, Rapid7, and DevSecOps/security testing
- Spring Cloud, Spring AI, NLP, and Generative AI
- Microsoft Azure, or other cloud platforms
- Nginx, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
- AI assisted development using GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of related experience.
