You’ll work closely with our IT, development, infrastructure, and business teams, so strong communication and the ability to explain technical issues and solutions are important. You’ll receive training on FSSI-specific applications and procedures, but we’re looking for someone who already understands how to be a DBA and can apply that knowledge in a new environment.
Your Essential Duties:

- Support database deployments through CI/CD and DevOps processes and participate in release planning, validation, rollback, and post-deployment monitoring.
- Automate routine database administration activities using PowerShell, T-SQL, SQL Server Agent, and other approved scripting and orchestration tools.
- Maintain database documentation, configuration standards, data dictionaries, runbooks, recovery procedures, and operational support documentation.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, problem management, and production support for database-related issues.
- Monitor and manage capacity, storage growth, retention requirements, archiving, and data lifecycle needs.
- Support integrations and data movement using technologies such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and secure file/data transfer mechanisms.
- Work with infrastructure, security, development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable and secure database services.
- Evaluate and support SQL Server workloads hosted on-premises and in cloud environments, including SQL Server hosted in AWS.
