Our Story
TopDog Law is not your typical law firm. We're a nationally scaling personal injury firm built for impact and growth — owning the client experience end-to-end, from marketing and intake through litigation. We believe that world-class marketing, paired with exceptional legal talent and operations, creates better experiences and outcomes for clients and the business alike.
Over the past three years, we've grown 2–3x year over year, setting a new standard on the marketing side of the personal injury space and proving what's possible when strategy, speed, and execution align. Now we're applying that same discipline and innovation to firm operations, case management, and national scale — intentionally building the infrastructure, systems, and teams to grow without sacrificing quality, culture, or accountability.
We are a fully remote team that share trust, open communication, and a commitment to doing great work. If you love ownership, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want to help build something exceptional, you'll feel right at home here.
The Opportunity
Our attorneys help injured people get back on track. From first call until final resolution, we fight for our clients to get the full compensation they deserve. We investigate the facts and circumstances of the injury, fight for full compensation, and help protect the client’s future.
What You Will Own
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Case Evaluation: Review and assess the merits of clients’ Personal Injury claims by analyzing records, documents, and evidence to determine liability and potential value
  • Legal Representation: Represent clients in Personal Injury matters, including filing claims, gathering evidence, representing a client’s legal position to the adverse insurer, preparing demand letters, negotiating potential settlements, and advocating for clients
  • Legal Strategy: Develop and implement effective strategies to protect clients’ rights and interests. Conduct legal research, analyze medical records, gather evidence, and negotiate with insurance companies to achieve favorable settlements
  • Client Communication: Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates, explaining legal processes, and advising them on their rights and options
  • Medical and Vocational Assessment: Collaborate with medical and vocational experts to evaluate the extent of injuries, their impact on clients’ ability to work, and appropriate future treatment requirements
  • Case Management: Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, coordinate with medical providers and experts, and oversee related legal and administrative tasks
  • Ethical Standards: Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations

What You Bring
Required:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to the North Carolina Bar
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in Personal Injury law
  • Strong communication, negotiation, research, and writing skills
  • Ability to manage a robust case load independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of North Carolina laws, regulations, and procedures required
  • Must be located in or near the State of North Carolina
  • Strong communication skills—written and verbal
  • Ability to think critically, prioritize effectively, and execute with speed

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Active Admission to one or more districts of the North Carolina Federal Court
  • Experience in a fast-growing or high-volume environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and evolving systems
  • Experience in legal, professional services, or client-centric organizations

Who Thrives Here (Core Values)
We don't hire on resumes alone. We hire for competence, character, and mindset.

  • Embrace Change: Open to feedback, embracing change, and always asking "what's next?"
  • Committed: You care deeply, have your teammates' backs, and show up to build something lasting.
  • No-Ego Energy: Positive, professional, and solutions-oriented. Drama stays at the door.
  • Ownership: You do what you say, follow through, and treat the business like it's yours.
  • Fast & Hungry: You move with urgency, thrive under high expectations, and are motivated by growth and impact.

What We Offer

  • Base Salary: $115,000 to $150,000 commensurate with experience
  • Eligible for performance-based bonus
  • Our job postings reflect the compensation range for the specific market and location of each role. Ranges vary by geography based on local market rates and cost of labor.
  • Benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, HSA, life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, and parental leave.

This role is critical to our success because it:

  • Maximizes case value through strong case development, sound evaluation, and effective negotiation prior to litigation
  • Moves cases efficiently through the pre-litigation lifecycle, supporting faster resolutions and improved cash flow
  • Identifies cases that should be escalated to litigation early, enabling better strategy, resource allocation, and outcomes
  • Enhances client satisfaction and trust through proactive communication and consistent follow-through
  • Reduces risk and rework by spotting issues early, making decisive recommendations, and ensuring alignment across teams
  • Supports scale by holding case managers accountable to performance metrics and ensuring consistent, high-quality work product
  • Strengthens operational efficiency by reinforcing clear workflows between case managers and the medical records team to avoid delays in case development
