🚀 Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays
In today’s digital Europe, payments still feel too complicated. Random delays, confusing rules, extra apps and accounts make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid.
The European Payments Initiative is changing that with Wero, a proudly European digital wallet to make payments easier, clearer and more secure. Online, in store, at home and across borders, with your money and data protected under European laws and regulations.
Wero is live in Belgium, France and Germany and launching very soon in Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Backed by 16 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, we’re building a brand new, proudly European payment system. Why not join us?
🔎 What's in it for you
Play a key role in onboarding and certifying banks, acquirers, and payment service providers across Europe onto the Wero network. Working at the crossroads of API testing, end-to-end certification, and partner engagement, you will collaborate closely with external stakeholders to ensure seamless integrations. This is a unique opportunity to join a remote-first, high-impact environment where you directly contribute to the quality, interoperability, and reliability of Europe's next-generation payments infrastructure.
🐝 About the team
You’ll join the Member Quality Assurance team within Operations Services Delivery. The team is responsible for coordinating, scoping and validating testing activities for EPI member institutions, helping banks, acquirers and PSPs successfully integrate with Wero.
You’ll work closely with external member banks, acquirers, PSPs and test tooling partners, as well as internal Product, Payment Experience, Infrastructure and Operations teams. This is a collaborative role for someone who enjoys combining structured testing, technical investigation and clear partner communication.
💥 Your impact
- Scope testing requirements and guide member banks, acquirers and PSPs through end-to-end certification with clear instructions and hands-on technical support.
- Review and validate member test outcomes against EPI specifications, scheme standards and compliance rules to ensure seamless integration.
- Investigate technical issues during testing, analyse distributed system logs and inspect API payloads to identify and resolve blockers quickly.
- Execute internal tests to identify edge cases, inconsistencies and system gaps before member releases.
- Convert manual test scenarios into automated test cases and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and tooling.
- Maintain comprehensive records of test results, defects, decisions and resolutions in Jira and Confluence for full traceability and auditability.
- Collaborate with Product, Payment Experience, Infrastructure and Operations stakeholders to ensure testing feedback is understood and translated into product and process improvements.

- Hopefully, an offer you can’t refuse
⛔ Turn back if …
- You prefer working in a purely internal or isolated testing environment without direct external partner or bank interaction.
- You shy away from digging into logs, investigating API discrepancies or multitasking across several onboarding and certification tracks.
- You are looking for a rigid, fully static environment rather than an evolving, agile pan-European initiative.
🎁 What we can offer
- Remote-first culture with quarterly and annual all-staff in-person meetups to keep teams connected and collaborative
- Possibility to work from another EU country for up to 3 months per year
