The Impact You'll Make
· Lead the design and development of electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on highway and bridge lighting, roadway electrical systems, and related transportation improvements.
· Review, develop, and oversee construction documents including plans, specifications, calculation reports, cost estimates, material quantity takeoffs, shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and responses to client comments.
· Perform and review lighting analyses, photometric studies, electrical load calculations, and power distribution designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and transportation agency standards.
· Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and quality control oversight to junior engineering staff.
· Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including roadway, bridge, traffic, and structural engineers, throughout project development and delivery.
· Support project managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination activities.
· Assist with business development efforts, including proposal preparation, scope development, and technical presentations.
· Serve as a trusted technical resource for transportation electrical engineering projects across the organization.

The Expertise You'll Bring
· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
· Professional Engineer (PE) license required
· 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience required
· Demonstrated experience with highway lighting, bridge lighting, roadway electrical systems, and transportation-related electrical design.
· FDOT experience strongly preferred.
· Proven ability to lead project tasks, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
