Key Responsibilities:
- Provide High-Quality Teletherapy: Conduct evidence-based psychological services for individuals, couples, or families via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, consistent with your scope of licensure and clinical expertise.
- Maintain Compliant Clinical Records: Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and completed in a timely manner, adhering to HIPAA standards and the regulations of your licensing state(s).
- Uphold Ethical & Legal Standards: Strictly adhere to the APA's Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct, all applicable state and federal laws, and best practices for telehealth confidentiality and security.
- Manage Client Relationships: Foster a professional therapeutic environment by clearly communicating your practice policies, session fees, and scheduling directly with your clients.
- Direct Financial Management: Independently establish your session rates, and manage all aspects of billing and payment directly with your clientele.
Requirements:
- Education: A Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
- Licensure: A current, unrestricted license to practice psychology independently in at least one state within the U.S. You are responsible for maintaining compliance with all inter-state telehealth laws and regulations.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience delivering psychotherapy and/or psychological assessments.
- Telehealth Proficiency: Demonstrated competence in using secure telehealth technologies (e.g., SimplePractice, Doxy.me, Zoom for Healthcare) and experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Professional Liability: Must maintain an active professional liability (malpractice) insurance policy with coverage appropriate for your practice.
- Independent Contractor Readiness: Must be prepared to operate as an independent contractor, managing your own schedule, taxes, and business-related expenses.
