Flexible Worker Contract
Location:Remote- York/Humberside / East Midlands / East Anglia (travel will be required to attend in person assessments)
About the role
We’re seeking Independent End Point Assessors (IEPAs) to join our End Point Assessment team to deliver the following standards:
· Level 3 Personal Trainer
This role is ideal for a qualified Personal Trainer Assessor, EPA, Fitness Assessor, or Tutor with a strong understanding of apprenticeships, assessment criteria, and EPA processes. You will deliver high-quality, impartial assessment activities including professional discussions, observations, and portfolio reviews, ensuring consistency and compliance with awarding organisation requirements.
In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the future workforce by assessing apprentices at the final stage of their journey. You'll use your industry knowledge and professional expertise to evaluate performance, maintain quality standards, and support learners in demonstrating their competence.
Whilst this is a flexible worker role, during the period of allocated work we require availability between the hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday to be able to carry out reviews. Please make sure you can commit to this before applying.
How you'll make an impact:
- Delivering EPA in line with the Level 3 Personal Trainer standard
- Utilising NCFE Apprenticeship Services EPA platform to record EPAs and interact with apprentices
- Attending standardisation events to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency
- Communicating with apprentices, ITP’s and employers on EPA and grading
We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:
- Hold a Level 3 or higher Personal Trainer qualification
- Recognised workplace Assessor qualification (TAQA / A1 / CAVA or equivalent) (an additional IQA qualification would be desirable)
- Past experience of working with clients within a personal training environment
- A full, clean driving licence and have flexibility to travel across your region for face-to-face assessment delivery
- Current contacts within the personal trainer / gym / leisure industry, to show that you are maintaining hands on practical CPD as a PT
- Excellent IT skills and be competent with using systems such as Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
