**IRELAND / REMOTE-FIRST – REGULAR CLIENT TRAVEL DUBLIN, GALWAY, CORK, WATERFORD**
We are looking for a technical authority who can oversee architecture across Brightbeam's project portfolio, translate complex technical judgements for enterprise stakeholders, and build the engineering capability of the teams around them. As Solution Director – Technical Solutions, you will work in close partnership with a Solution Director – Delivery and Engagement counterpart who owns the client relationship and commercial engagement - leaving you free to focus entirely on architectural coherence and technical excellence.
This role was created deliberately: combining technical solution architecture with account management in a single person limits both the quality of the architecture and the depth of the client relationship. At Brightbeam, we have split the role so both tracks can be done properly.
**Key requirements:**
- Significant experience in senior technical roles with solution architecture oversight and multi-project management
- Minimum 3 years writing production code – non-negotiable for technical credibility
- Proven enterprise architecture capability across compliance, security, data governance, and legacy integration
- Exceptional technical communication across all stakeholder levels
- Track record of building engineering capability through mentorship and influence
**Our hiring process:**
This assessment focuses on architectural capability, technical credibility, and communication.
- Background discussion (30 minutes) – career motivations, mission alignment, and technical experience
- Technical assessment (90 minutes) – architecture thinking, engineering standards, and translating complexity for non-technical stakeholders
- Architecture review and career deep dive (90 minutes) – multi-project scenario plus PROB-methodology career walkthrough, with at least one-third focused on failures and learning
We aim to complete the process within 3-4 weeks. We will keep you informed at every stage and provide feedback where we can.
