**Job Description**

We are looking for a Principal Architect to technically lead the architectural evolution of a set of the company's strategic products.

This professional will be responsible for defining the long-term architectural vision, establishing corporate standards, and technically directing multiple engineering teams, ensuring that solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

We expect a professional with strong influencing skills, systemic vision, and strategic thinking, capable of connecting technology and business, promoting consistent architectural decisions, and accelerating the organization's technological evolution.

Daily Responsibilities

- Technically lead multiple engineering teams, acting as the primary reference in software and platform architecture;

- Define the architectural strategy for products aligned with the technology roadmap and business needs;

- Establish architecture standards, principles, and best practices for the entire organization;

- Conduct Architecture Reviews, Design Reviews, and Technical Assessments for key initiatives;

- Support technical leaders and engineers in making complex decisions;

- Ensure that solutions meet requirements for scalability, availability, security, observability, and performance;

- Work together with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, and Infrastructure on the evolution of the technology platform;

- Lead the adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns;

- Act as a technical reference in critical incidents involving architectural decisions;

- Promote the continuous evolution of the architecture, reducing technical debt and increasing technological maturity.

Key Deliverables

- Definition and evolution of product reference architecture;

- Architectural roadmap aligned with company strategies;

- Corporate development, integration, and architecture standards;

- Evolution of architecture to support growth in scale, performance, and resilience;

- Definition of standards for APIs, microservices, events, and integrations;

- Architectural governance through ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), Design Reviews, and Technical Standards;

- Reduction of structural technical debt;

- Evolution of cloud and engineering platforms;

- Monitoring of architectural indicators (Resilience, Availability, Performance, Security, Cost, and Scalability);

- Technical development of the community of architects and Tech Leads through mentoring, workshops, and communities of practice.

Leadership

- Proven experience technically leading multiple engineering teams;

- Ability to influence technical leaders, architects, and executives;

- Excellent technical and executive communication;

- Strategic vision of corporate architecture;

- Ability to make decisions considering technical and business trade-offs;

- Experience conducting Architecture Reviews and strategic decisions

- Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ);

- Kubernetes;

- Service Mesh (Istio);

- Cloud Native Architecture;

- AWS (EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3);

- Terraform;

- CI/CD;

- Observability (OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana);

- Resilience (Circuit Breaker, Retry, Bulkhead, Timeout);

- Performance Engineering;

- Application Security;

- OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT;

- Zero Trust Architecture;

- Platform Engineering;

- FinOps;

- Data Architecture (when applicable).

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS Professional or Specialty certifications;

- TOGAF;

- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or CKA;

- Experience with internal platforms (Platform Engineering);

- Knowledge of AI applied to software development;

- Experience in large distributed environments (Large Scale Systems);

- Participation in technical communities, events, or content production.
