We are seeking a Senior Manager Product Management (Platform) to lead the engineering and product foundations that power Mambu’s cloud banking platform. You will own the strategic roadmap across infrastructure scalability, platform reliability and cost optimisation - ensuring the platform can support Mambu’s continued growth at scale.

### What you’ll do

As Senior Manager of Product Management, Platform, you are a technically credible and commercially aware leader responsible for translating complex infrastructure requirements into measurable product outcomes. You will own the product management of the platform layer underpinning all of Mambu’s product domains, ensuring that scalability, reliability and cost discipline are treated as first-class product values.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role operating at the intersection of platform engineering and product strategy. You will partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Finance, and broader product leadership to balance near-term delivery against long-term platform health.

**1. Platform Scalability & Infrastructure Modernisation**

- **Database & API Scalability:** Define and own the product requirements for sustainable customer growth, covering database scalability, API performance for high-throughput workloads, and SLA compliance for batch processing across our largest customers.

- **Infrastructure Platform Evolution:** Lead the product strategy for Mambu’s next-generation infrastructure platform, driving adoption of a modern reference architecture across cloud environments. Define migration sequencing, success metrics, and release velocity targets.

- **Core Services Modernisation:** Own the roadmap for foundational platform capabilities - including notifications, audit, and streaming. Manage phased migration programmes across customer environments while targeting performance and improved reliability.

- **Data Foundation:** Establish data retention frameworks and drive accountability through well-defined storage and usage metrics.

**2. Cloud Efficiency**

- **Cloud Optimisation:** Drive the product and operational agenda for cloud cost optimisation, including elimination of unused resources, right-sizing of compute and database provisioning, and delivery of material annualised savings targets.

- **Platform Governance:** Establish and embed cloud management practices across the engineering organisation, ensuring resource visibility, tagging hygiene, and systematic elimination of waste.

- **Executive Reporting:** Translate infrastructure cost and efficiency metrics into clear business narratives for C-suite and finance stakeholders, connecting platform investment to unit economics and margin outcomes.

**3. People Leadership & Organisational Excellence**

- **Team Development:** mentor and lead a team of Product Managers covering platform and infrastructure domains; foster a culture of technical empathy, data-driven decision-making, and delivery rigour.

- **Stakeholder Influence:** Act as a strategic advisor to the C-suite and product leadership on platform investment priorities, migration risk, and infrastructure tradeoffs. Translate engineering complexity into clear business outcomes.

- **Operational Rigour:** Optimise the Product Development Lifecycle within the platform domain - ensuring PRDs, roadmaps, and epics are clearly scoped, commercially grounded, and aligned to quarterly planning cadences.

**4. Corporate Development Support**

- **Due Diligence:** Provide platform and technical product perspective to support M&A screening and due diligence processes as required, assessing scalability, integration complexity, and architectural fit of target businesses.

### What you’ll bring

- **Experience:** 10+ years of progressive Product Management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity managing other Product Managers, ideally in a SaaS or cloud platform environment.

- **Platform Product Expertise:** Deep functional knowledge of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and developer-facing product domains - gained through platform product leadership or close partnership with infrastructure engineering organisations.

- **Technical Credibility:** Proven ability to engage meaningfully with Architecture and Engineering on topics such as database scalability, API performance, cloud optimisation, and large-scale migration programmes - without requiring hands-on engineering depth.

- **Commercial Acumen:** Track record of connecting platform investment decisions to business outcomes, including cost reduction, hosting margin improvement, and scalable growth capacity.

- **Analytical Precision:** A data-first approach to prioritisation and strategy, with the ability to synthesise infrastructure metrics, cost data, and customer signals into compelling business cases.

- **Strategic Influence:** Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional global teams and influence senior stakeholders on resource allocation, technology migration risk, and long-term platform investment tradeoffs.
