About the Role

OpenSesame is on a mission to become the global leader in corporate training and professional learning. As we expand our platform offerings and reinvent our workforce through AI adoption we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to own this function within the organization and guide our strategic positioning, messaging, and enablement forward.

This role acts as the strategic centerpiece in our GTM org and is ideal for professionals who enjoy entrepreneurial ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and being a hands-on builder of strategy and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Enablement: Act as a subject-matter expert on messaging, market position, and competition. Develop GTM assets, case studies, and battlecards to aid the sales process.
  • Go-to-Market - You’ll own the end-to-end GTM for the new product & features launching, from positioning & messaging, to asset creation, GTM launch management and internal enablement. You’ll collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams to help create and test the positioning & messaging for your portfolios, which may include technology products and features, partnerships, or publishers.
  • GTM Impact Analysis: Plan and execute ongoing analysis of the sales funnel, collateral kit, and GTM strategy inclusive of Win/Loss, sales cycle, engagement, and response.
  • Launch Program: Build and manage a company-wide launch process for planning and directing the scope, schedule, and execution of our most critical moments.
  • Market Research: Stay ahead of market trends, customer needs, and competitor moves. Engage with analysts and other industry stakeholders to build our brand and inform strategy. Use your insider-knowledge of our personas and industry to shape our unique approach to market.
  • Messaging & Positioning: Build a compelling narrative around our products and value that we can take to market and win with. Help the organization tell our story more effectively by developing and aligning messaging, value propositions, and audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with other teams to align GTM strategy, identify collateral needs, influence pricing and packaging, and ensure our market position is optimized for success.
  • Personal Effectiveness & AI utilization: Create your own urgency, keep work organized, and have line of sight to achieving all deadlines. Have a plan to incorporate AI into the daily flow of work to contribute to your effectiveness.

Performance Objectives

First 30 Days:

  • Audit the existing selling collateral kit and sales playbook to identify areas of opportunity and notable gaps.
  • Refresh our competitor battlecards to reflect current market conditions and changes in messaging tied to AI.
  • Develop a working perspective on our brand messaging framework and identify gaps in implementation of this framework across the entire portfolio of channels and assets.
  • Create an initial POV on the key drivers of our value proposition that includes partners, publishers, and technology.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders across product management, sales, and the partner teams.
  • Learn about OpenSesame products and solutions and be able to accurately speak to their opportunities and position in the market.
  • Outline the plan for incorporating AI into the product marketing workflows.

First 90 Days:

  • Support GTM enablement as a subject-matter expert on messaging, market dynamics, competition, and positioning.
  • Establish a template and process for conducting company launches with an emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and audience optimization.
  • Establish a reporting cadence for key metrics including asset utilization, launch adoptions and outcomes, pipeline influence, and sales cycle metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to build a messaging transition to in-market campaign process, determining key steps, templates, and RACI to ensure alignment between strategic messaging and positioning decisions and how we bring that to life in the market.
  • Build at least one LLM-based workflow to optimize your work.

First 6 Months:

  • Plan and engage analysts and industry stakeholders to evangelize OpenSesame’s products and position to share our story far and wide.
  • Deepen our GTM collateral kit through segmentation and targeting including industry-specific plays, persona targeted assets, and variable flows.
  • Utilize AI tools and processes to automate workflows, build templates, and gain organizational traction across the PMM function.
  • Leverage our robust publisher, partner, and customer audiences towards a combined narrative that compounds our value in the market.

By the end of Year 1:

  • Accelerate workflows across the GTM organization through streamlined, efficient processes, AI-enabled automations, and a fully realized PMM playbook.
  • Demonstrably accelerate and improve sales win rate, cycle speed, and engagement through improved collateral, processes, and strategic direction.
  • Help OpenSesame establish a defensible brand position as a global leader in corporate training and AI-enabled learning.

You might notice we don’t have the typical list of requirements and buzzwords here. That’s intentional.

We’re looking for proven examples from your career that show you can do this job, that you’ve built systems, driven alignment, and created impact at scale. When you look back a year from now, you’ll know you’ve made OpenSesame better, faster, and stronger because of your leadership.

Although it should go without saying (but it doesn’t), OpenSesame is an equal opportunity employer and we strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.

We use AI. For real. Every team at OpenSesame works with AI tools daily, not as a buzzword, but as practice. You'll build fluency that most companies are still talking about adopting, with hands-on training and clear guardrails to experiment responsibly. AI amplifies your creativity and judgment. It doesn't replace them. The skills you build here travel with you.

Location: This position can be based anywhere in the US. We operate as a remote-first company, and invest in mandatory all-company meetings several times a year in addition to required team travel as necessary.

Performance Driven: We're looking for self-starters with a track record of delivering excellent results, but we're highly selective about who we hire. We don't focus on typical job requirements, instead, we're interested in specific examples from your past experiences. All positions can be based anywhere in the US, and require up to 15 days of travel per year, with senior management and leadership teams requiring up to 35 days.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is generally between $140,000 and $170,000, depending on experience. At OpenSesame, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees upon hire, including professional development, ISOs, health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Benefits: Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible PTO, 401(k) matching, incentive stock options, volunteer time off, Employee Resource Groups, and a generous professional development program with dedicated annual time off for learning and growth.

Equal Employment Opportunity: OpenSesame is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer that values and welcomes diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of various legally protected characteristics, including criminal history, and strive to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. We prioritize safety and security and may use your information accordingly, and you can contact us for assistance or accommodations during the job application process.

Pay Transparency: At OpenSesame, we prioritize pay transparency, fairness, and equity to create a positive and inclusive work environment, regularly reviewing our compensation practices to align with our values and goals. We provide competitive and fair compensation to our employees based on their skills, experience, and performance.

CPRA (California Candidates): When you submit your application, OpenSesame may collect and use your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy and the CPRA. This may include personal details and employment history, and will only be used for employment-related purposes. We may share this information with third-party service providers, but we will not sell it to third parties. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us, and for more information on your rights under the CPRA, refer to our privacy policy or the California Attorney General's website.

We Care About Your Security: We’ve been made aware of a phishing scam involving individuals impersonating OpenSesame recruiters. All legitimate communication from our team will come from @opensesame.com email addresses. If you receive a suspicious message, please contact us directly at careers@opensesame.com.
