About the Role
The Head of Design will own product design quality across the group's consumer products and brands. This is a hands-on design leadership role with direct involvement in our most important products and user experiences.
What you will be doing
- Set the design direction and quality bar across group products.
- Work directly on or review critical user journeys, product concepts and interfaces.
- Turn complex financial and AI workflows into simple consumer experiences.
- Set standards across product design, interaction, visual design and design systems.
- Review shipped products and identify specific usability and design problems.
- Work with product and engineering from early concepts through production.
- Recruit and assess senior product, UI and brand designers.
What you will need
- Strong portfolio of shipped consumer technology products with meaningful usage.
- Deep product and interaction design capability, not primarily people management.
- Strong visual judgement and attention to interface details.
- Ability to prototype and communicate product interactions directly.
- Experience working closely with product and engineering on shipped products.
- Hands-on design style - able to create, critique and materially improve design work directly.
