We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to own end-to-end procurement and logistics for a fast-growing organic consumer goods brand selling direct-to-consumer, on Amazon, and through major retail chains across Australia and the United States. You will turn sales forecasts into purchasing plans, raise and track purchase orders, negotiate directly with overseas factories, manage inbound freight and customs, and keep inventory records accurate and current across every 3PL and market.
This is a hands-on role. You raise the POs yourself, build your own stock and landed-cost models, chase delays before they become stock-outs, and own the numbers behind every decision. The company is scaling fast and every unit made, shipped, and sold runs through this function. If you have 4 or more years of supply chain and procurement experience in consumer goods, have negotiated directly with overseas factories, understand international freight and import compliance, and are comfortable owning a supply chain function without a large team around you, this role is a strong fit.
Why You'll Want to Join
- You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
- Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
- Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
- 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
- This role requires availability during Australian business hours
- Own a critical function at a growing consumer brand with placement in major retail chains and a fast-expanding DTC and Amazon presence
- High-ownership supply chain role where your work shows up directly on the shelf and in the numbers
What You'll Work On
Demand and Supply Planning
- Update purchasing plans for Australia and the US from the latest sales forecast, monthly or as demand shifts
- Assess stock on hand and on order against forecast by SKU, channel, and market; flag shortfalls and overstock early
- Set and maintain reorder points, safety stock, and weeks-of-cover targets
Procurement and Purchase Orders
- Raise, issue, and track purchase orders with factories and suppliers
- Keep Cin7 up to date and accurate on inventory, POs, receipts, and landed COGS by SKU
- Reconcile inventory and landed COGS with Finance via Xero so stock values and margins are correct
- Manage packaging, labels, and component supply so finished-goods production is never held up
Supplier and Factory Management
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and lead times directly with contract manufacturers and factories
- Build and maintain landed-cost models by SKU and find savings in unit cost, freight, and duty
- Manage production timelines from PO to ex-factory and chase delays before they become stock-outs
- Work with suppliers on quality standards, specs, and pre-shipment checks
- Source and qualify alternative suppliers to reduce single-source risk
Inbound Logistics and Import
- Book and manage inbound sea and air freight from China and other overseas suppliers to AU and US warehouses
- Own customs clearance, duties, and import documentation in both markets
- Coordinate inbound receiving with 3PLs and check receipts against POs
- Track sailings and chase delays proactively
Reporting and Financial Visibility
- Report to Finance on inventory spend including committed POs, deposits and balances due, freight and duty, against budget
- Report weekly on stock position, open POs, inbound shipments, and risks
- Track supply chain KPIs, landed cost, and feed accurate inventory and cash-out timing into the cash flow forecast
What You Bring
- 4 or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or inventory planning in a consumer goods environment
- Hands-on experience raising purchase orders and building purchasing plans from a sales forecast
- Proven track record negotiating price and terms directly with overseas factories or contract manufacturers
- Working knowledge of international freight, Incoterms, customs, and import compliance
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills including building your own stock and landed-cost models
- Experience with Cin7 or a comparable inventory management system
- Organized, detail-driven, and comfortable owning outcomes without a large team around you
- Available to work during Australian business hours
Nice to Have
- Experience sourcing from China including factory visits, QC inspections, and managing Chinese suppliers
- Experience supplying both Australia and the US simultaneously
- Comfort working across AU, US, and China time zones
- Background in organic, consumer packaged goods, or health and wellness product supply chains
How to Apply
Please include:
- Your updated resume
- A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your supply chain and procurement experience, and walking through how you have managed a factory relationship from PO to warehouse receipt including how you handled a delay or quality issue along the way
Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.
