Akamai Technical Academy (ATA) (now on Pluralsight) is specifically designed to prepare individuals without technical backgrounds for a career in tech. No prior experience is required. If you are an agile learner, self-starter, and committed to spending time in training, we encourage you to apply.
About the Training
Akamai Technical Academy is a 12-week hands-on learning program offered through the platform Pluralsight. Modules are designed to help you gain foundational skills in areas such as Linux, networking, web applications, and security. As a participant, you will engage in structured learning pathways to build the confidence and competence needed for a career in tech. This training program does not constitute employment.
Important Details

• Time Commitment: Learners will spend approximately 10 hours per week over the 12-week program duration, during flexible hours.

• Program Dates: November 9, 2026 – February 26, 2027 (includes scheduled breaks).

• Application Window: Applications open on October 5th and close on October 26th.

• Non-employment: This free training program does not constitute employment.

The ATA Track (instead of job responsibilities)
Pluralsight provides a rigorous, hands-on learning experience. Completion of the program is the first step toward a potential future with Akamai. Successful graduates will be considered for a 6-month Akamai apprenticeship starting in Spring 2027, as well as any other relevant job openings at the time of completion. During the 12-week program, learners will complete 6 courses and gain the following skills:

• Operating Systems Fundamentals: Linux, virtualization, CLI

• Networking Fundamentals: HTTP, TCP, SSH, VPNs, troubleshooting

• Introduction to Web Applications: APIs, HTML, CSS, AI development

• Managing Relational Databases: SQL, database queries

• Python Scripting Fundamentals: Python, debugging, AI coding

• Introduction to IT Security: IoT, cryptography, network security, malware

Do what you love
To be successful in this training program, you will:

• Be proficient in English

• Have strong communication and collaboration skills

• Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and ability to be a self-starter with online, self-paced learning modules

• Be available approximately 10 hours per week from November 2026-February 2027 for online learning, hours flexible and self-determined

• Be interested in future apprenticeship and/or job opportunities at the entry level in tech, including Network Operations, Security Architect, Technical Support, and similar roles
